About the Role
• Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and adjust industrial sewing machines (single-needle, serger, etc.) for various tasks like joining, hemming, or finishing.
• Material Handling: Select appropriate fabrics, threads, needles, and attachments as specified by work orders or patterns.
• Production & Efficiency: Follow technical instructions, meet daily/weekly output goals, and work with speed and accuracy.
• Quality Control: Inspect sewn items for defects (missed stitches, uneven seams) and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
• Maintenance & Setup: Perform routine tasks like changing needles, oiling machines, and cleaning work areas.
• Documentation: Accurately record materials used and pieces completed.
Requirements
Technical: Threading, adjusting, and troubleshooting industrial machines, performing various stitches (straight, serging, topstitching).
Manual: Excellent hand-eye coordination, dexterity for precise movements, and ability to maneuver workpieces.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus to follow instructions, inspect for defects, and ensure quality.
Work Ethic: Efficiency, concentration, reliability, and ability to meet production quotas.
Soft Skills: Time management, teamwork, proactive approach, and ability to work independently.
