About the Role
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, stack, and organize products throughout the warehouse
• Load and unload delivery trucks with materials and products according to schedules and delivery requirements
• Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift to ensure proper working condition and report any maintenance issues
• Complete equipment maintenance documentation accurately and submit reports in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate inventory records and verify shipment contents against documentation
• Follow all warehouse safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe working environment
• Stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas using safe lifting techniques and proper equipment
• Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling materials according to specifications
• Keep warehouse aisles and work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding inventory status and workflow
• Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counting as needed
Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting
Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory
Basic math skills for counting and verifying shipment quantities
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Dependable with strong work ethic and consistent attendance record
Ability to work in varying temperatures and stand for extended periods
Basic computer skills for inventory management systems preferred
Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or different shifts as needed
